Career Direction 4 Me is a Career Counseling and Workforce Development Consultation Organization that provides Individual Career Counseling services and Career-related Workshops to individuals and organizations. Individual Career Counseling ServicesIndividual Career Counseling consists of helping people figure out their ideal career and create a plan of action. Personality, Interest, Values, and Skills Assessments may be used to assist individuals in learning more about themselves and aid them in their career choice. Resume writing and interview skills preparation services are also available upon request. Leadership Development Consultation with workplace leaders is offered through the use of Skillscope/360 Degree Feedback. Client confidentiality is observed for all services rendered. About the Consultant. . .DeeDee Kindley is a Career Counselor with 15 years of experience helping individuals and organizations achieve their workforce goals through Career and Leadership Development. AT&T's Leadership Development Program has been among her list of clients. As a Corporate Career Counselor for Pacific Bell and SBC before it became AT&T, DeeDee provided leadership management and counseled business leaders as well as non-management employees. She not only counseled employees on an individual basis, but also worked with teams of management employees by delivering Myers-Briggs® Workshops designed specifically for helping groups of managers work together more effectively. Through strategic consultation with business units, she aided organizations with their departmental career issues. Most of DeeDee's individual Career Counseling with business leaders was with "First and Second Levels". She has and continues to work with individuals holding the positions of Director, Vice President, and Business Owner. Additionally, DeeDee works with non-management employees, students, and individuals re-entering the workforce. DeeDee's work within the phone company led her to the successful re-opening and management of the Sacramento Employee Career Center. As the Sacramento ECC Manager, DeeDee developed relationships with key stakeholders such as Union Presidents and Vice Presidents, Directors, EAP Managers, Human Resources Managers and leaders of several company sponsored organizations to provide services to diverse populations of employees. DeeDee earned a reputation for being extremely knowledgeable, insightful, approachable and caring. Many of her clients stated that her skill and knowledge base, along with her personable and professional demeanor, allowed them to open up to her and request her guidance. She was one of Pacific Bell and SBC's most requested Counselors. As a private Career Consultant, DeeDee assists her clients using many assessments. They include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, Strong Interest Inventory®, Career Leverage Inventory, Rokeach Values Survey, Core Values Assessment™, Work Values Prioritization Assessment™, Career Values Card Sort, Motivated Skills Card Sort, Skill Scan, Elevations, Choices, Eureka, and Skillscope/360 Degree Feedback. After writing numerous career related workshops, classes and workbooks, DeeDee published The Key to Happiness ~ A Career & Life Planning Guide to Unlocking Your Life Passion & Living It in August of 2009. She's taught over 150 Career/Life Planning related classes to thousands of people and helped them achieve their career goals. She continues to teach: Career and Life Planning, The Key to Happiness, Resume Writing, Interviewing Skills Preparation, Understanding Your Personality using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, and Understanding Your Interests Using the Strong Interest Inventory®. DeeDee holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with a Marriage, Family and Child Counseling Option. She earned two Bachelors Degrees from UC Davis; one in Rhetoric/Communication and the other in Psychology. Additionally, she has a Certificate in Chemical Dependency Studies and takes continuing education classes through Consulting Psychologist Press, as well as through other organizations, in the field of Career Counseling. Currently, DeeDee consults with individuals and organizations on career and workplace issues resulting in optimized individual career direction, problem resolution, and increased communication effectiveness. She helps promote the understanding that we, as people, can value and appreciate not only our similarities but also our differences. DeeDee is dedicated to helping teams within organizations improve communication, enhance productivity, and meet both individual and organizational goals. She is committed to helping her clients better understand themselves and others as well as to helping them acheive their goals.
