The ScadaFlex Plus RTU/Controller is available with and internal telephone modem. This option allows for both dail-in and dail-out features for remote access and alarm notification. The modem supports data rates of up to 56K baud, the highest speed available today for the public telephone system.
A telephone mode in the ScadaFlex Plus Controller facilitates remote access from wither a desktop ot laptop PC from anywhere in the world using software already built into Windows. examine or change setpoints, download data logs or upload program and configuration files without traveling to the site. All remote access includes password and username security protection.
ScadaFlex Plus Controllers also support worldwide remote access using just a touchtone telephone. Examine register and I/O values, or change setpoints and outputs using voice-prompted telephone keypad commands.
With the internal telephone modem option, a ScadaFlex Plus Controller can automatically dail-out to annunciate an alarm condition by voice, numeric or alphnumeric pager and e-mail. Voice and text messages can include embedded register, point, time and data information. Configuration takes only a few seconds using ScadaBuilder Windows software. Telephone lists and text messages are stored as digital data files in the Controller for easy updating, aback-up and "cloning".
The internal medem option is designed foroperation in tough environments that would destroy conventional PC type modems. they feature tough transient and lightning protection, and a very wide operating temperature range. The Controller and modem option are backed by an industry-leading 3-year warranty.
