The EtherLogic RTU/Controller is an "open architecture" programmable controller with built-in Ethernet and serial communications. It offers 32-bit processing power, network communications and high level software tools that minimize programming time. EtherLogic has "large controller" hardware features and software tools at a cost competitive with ordinary relay replacement "shoebox" controllers.
As an open architecture controller, EtherLogic comes with a full licensed ISaGRAF IEC-61131 package along with support for C and C++, providing a choice of eight different programming languages to minimize retraining and ramp-up time. Mix and match any of these languages to get the job done quickly and reliably.
The open architecture design of EtherLogic extends to its communications capabilities as well. EtherLogic supports industry standard serial communications protocols like Modbus as well as the standard Ethernet and Internet protocols, allowing it to be easily integrated into existing factory Local Area Networks. By not relying on proprietary protocols, EtherLogic is supported by the top HMI software packages like InTouch (Wonderware), FIX (Intellution) and Lookout (National Instruments) with "off-the-shelf" drivers.
