ICL RTU's/controllers excel in data communications. Our application development tools make it easy to set up systems using standard communication protocols. Low-level capabilities are also available for you to implement your own protocols. Our Intelligent RTU's support the following communications protocols: Modbus RTU slave Modbus RTU master Modbus ASCII slave Modbus ASCII master Modbus/TCP slave Modbus/TCP master DF1 Master DF1 Slave GPS BrickNet (peer-to-peer) TAP (alphanumeric pager) The following communications media are supported: RS-232 RS-485 Ethernet Radio Dialup Modem Standard communication protocols are easy to set up. For slave protocols simply define the port you want to use and select the protocol you would like. For master or peer-to-peer protocols, you also specify the information you want to transfer, and the conditions which trigger the transfer. Trigger conditions include register value changes and elapsed time.
