The ICL-4300 supports inexpensive text-based operator interfaces.
This allows you to provide access to setpoints, I/O and operating
parameters in a cost-effective manner, without requiring the use of
expensive and difficult to configure SCADA software packages.
Any ANSI-BBS compatible text-based operator interface terminal can be used.
For instance, ICL's HotLink operator interface terminal provides a
4 by 21 character display and keypad that can be either permanently
mounted or used as a portable terminal.
The Textual User Interface (TUI) feature can also be hosted on your
laptop PC (running Hyperterminal or similar), allowing you to walk up
to a ICL-4300 and plug in to see what it is doing. Or use a
desktop PC to provide a simple SCADA-type user interface to your system
with minimal cost.
